Another branch of Lanz-Anliker AG consists of the production of our radiation protective clothing, distributed as «Wiroma by Lanz-Anliker». The x-ray aprons are the world’s first to incorporate a sewn in data chip. With its correlating software, the data chip provides doctors and hospitals with the means to comply with the FOPH’s requirements regarding the frequent inspection of all radiation protection products. The condition, age, and protective quality of the aprons in use can easily be monitored while an automatically generated list regarding these results serves as documentation for the Federal Office of Public Health. By request Lanz-Anliker provides the service of managing the respective data.

All of our radiation protective items are produced in our manufactory in Rohrbach BE. The assortment is portrayed in our catalogue.

All items are available in different designs. You can select both the protective material and the material used for the outer shell.

All articles are available in multiple variations. Both the protective material as well as the material for the outer cover may be freely selected.

The following radiation protective materials are available:

Lead vinyl: Lead vinyl is a highly flexible protective material, consisting of 80 percent lead-powder and of 20 percent carrier material. The radiation protection aprons incorporate multiple layers of protective material which exhibits a structured surface, does not oxidize or produce any fumes, and the protective substances are indissolubly encapsulated.

X-Light©: The X-Light-material is distinguished by its low weight. This material is also incorporated into the aprons as multiple layers. Besides lead, other metals (barium, molybdenum) are also incorporated. X-Light likewise exhibits a structured surface, does not oxidize, or produce any fumes, and the protective substances are indissolubly encapsulated.

Leadfree: Leadfree is the only protective material not containing any lead. It contains the highly flexible protective material vinyl, enriched with metallic substances (barium molybdenum, etc.- no lead!)  This protective material also exhibits the multiple layers of incorporated protective material, structured surface, no oxidation or fumes, as well as indissolubly encapsulated protective substances. Of all protective substances, leadfree is the lightest.

We offer the following materials for the outer shell:

Nylon: Traditionally processed nylon. Specifically impregnated and with administered antibacterial treatment. This surface material provides the radiation protective material with optimal protection from possible mechanical damage through sharp objects or animal claws (veterinary field). Betadine, blood, contrast agents, and some aggressive liquids can be conveniently removed with warm (max 40°C) soapy water.

Magic ®: New, flexible, elastic, and durable material. Betadine, blood, contrast agents, and some aggressive liquids can be conveniently removed with warm (max 40°C) soapy water.
